Sites [Reg users]

  1. site for category updates: Update1(main), Update2(mirror), Update3(backup: always redirects to current,main site)
  2. user url or local file containing links to remote puzzle pages, local directories or .zip archives; loaded at startup

Accounts [Reg users]

user names and passwords for subscriptions: currently only NYT; requires installation of separate "JSSE" library

General

general font name, size for menus (across, down, Prefs, Open), buttons and text messages, e.g., later sample text; larger size may interfere with Prefs layout on some platforms so should be adjusted after other settings.

Kbd Menu

include a 2-line keyboard menu: for PocketPC, on top of title; otherwise, between clues and puzzle

Clue# number font name, size, color

Guess letter font name, size, color, alignment

Pencil color for less certain guesses

square size and background color

sample square displays the initial settings and subsequent trial changes; background color shows the most recent choice of Square, Select letter or Word color; the check triangle (initially off) shows the Check or Reveal colors.

A0. 15x15 sample text displays maximum number of guess squares that will fit on screen, based on current screen & square size, assuming no scrollbars are needed; displayed in General font

Select, Word color for current letter and word

Incorr., Correct, Reveal colors for currently incorrect, now correct, and revealed squares.

Startup: what CrozzWord does at startup

Reset All (after confirmation) returns to original CrozzWord settings

Set applies any changed preferences

Cancel (or X) discards changes without confirmation

Changing any text field to empty reverts to original default value.
