Jumble

A simple application for unscrambling letters for word games, especially Jumble newspaper puzzles. It contains four 6-letter word fields, and one 12-letter "answer" field.

Command summary

Clear All

erase all letters and marks

(letter area)

the top of each field displays letter that you enter

select a letter field using pen/mouse or cursor/tab keys

space/Delete/Backspace

erase current letter

A-Z

enter letter

swap letters manually by dragging between two fields

(mark area)

initially, fix letter (prevent from moving) for "Jumble"

later, copy letters into answer field (via "Copy 1-4")

Jumble 1,2,3,4,A

shuffle unmarked letters randomly (after removing spaces and shifting left)

Copy 1-4

after unscrambling the four words, copy marked letters to longer answer field
