CROSSWORDS: Gallery. Crossword Compiler (on Mac)

Intro

• Download: Crossword Compiler (CC) (on Mac via 'Crossover')
• Screenshots (below) were made on 3/8/2011 and may not accurately represent the latest version.
• After upgrading CC and my system, I could no longer use CrossOver successfully.
• I then ran CC via Parallels Desktop.
• Given the configuration complexities (on Mac: CCC + Parallels + Windows)
  and ongoing upgrade costs & time, I switched to CrossFire in 2018.
• Main: initial screen
• New: type of puzzle? choose Free-form/Vocabulary
• New: size? choose 17x17
• New: which initial words to include?
• New: some words to auto-fit
• New: generated (24 words in ~0:30). Accept
• Fill: add areas for more interest?
• Fill: words auto added from dictionary. Accept
• Clues: review and edit (none yet)
• Clues: typing in a few
• Clues: lookup 'terminology' in WordWeb dict.
• Clues: lookup 'OLLI'
• Save puzzle 'olli_course'
• Export. which formats?
• New. American 15x15 puzzle
• Fill. all words from dictionary
